In 1999, as soon as he got his drivers licence, Jay started as an apprentice at Sound of One Hand Studios. After learning the ropes he soon found himself as a member of the Sound of One Hand team. He assisted and engineered many sessions, working with some of the region's best artists, producers and engineers covering almost every musical genre.

In Fall 2000, he left Ottawa to attend Queen's University in Kingston to study electrical engineering. He returned most weekends, holidays and summers to Ottawa to work on develloping bands for Dark Skippy Records, an independent label.

March 2005, with a few months left in his Electrical Engineering degree Jason became co-owner in Sound of One Hand studios. For the following two years he was extensively involved in a wide gamut of projects as a producer, mixer and engineer. It was also during this time that he got into audio mastering and completed many projects for artists all over north america.

In March 2007, Jason left studio ownership to focus more on his carreer as an as a co-producer, mixer, engineer. You'll still frequently find him working on projects at Sound of One Hand (now Liverpool Court Studios).

Jason's extensive background and experience working some of the best artists, producers and engineers makes him an asset on any session. He's been fortunate to have his recent work chart nationally in Canada.
