Finally finished up mixing and mastering a record for Ottawa's Folk Darling, Ana Miura. Great songs go out and check out the disk. Also, polished some mixes for Scott Paterson's upcoming endeavour - it will be pretty cool. Spending lots of time at the cottage....beer and boating...not at the same time of course.

In the studio tracking debut lp for local Ottawa band Tympanic with producer Jon Chandler..the recording went great...my face hurts from laughing so hard. Mastered the upcoming Live EP for Worship this Day.

Went to Europe - Hung out in Brussels, saw lots of art in Paris, almost got mugged in London, stayed in the hills in souther France...everyone should go.

Did get some work done - was back in the studio recording the last, or so they say, couple songs for Trevor James and the Perfect Gentlemen.

Mixing Trevor James' record. It's sounding really good and has been getting a lot of great feedback from 'industry' people. I'm quite excited about it.

Finished up a pop/hiphop production with songwriter/producer Scott Paterson for local Kiwanis winner Kelcie Summer. Kelcie's a talented singer who has won a pile of competitions with her singing ability....be prepared to her more of her in the future.

Put the final mastering touches on projects for local hip-hop producer Mad Cash, Pembroke based folk singer Tim Hermitte, a recent effort by Ottawa band Shelflife, Quebecoise Hip Hop artist R-Leo.

Also, did a little work for Telus' executive band when they were in town for a building opening.

Had a session with legendary DefJam/Island records rapper NAS. He was in to do some overdubs on a new record he's working on with legendary producer Young Guru. He was great to work with and it's not hard to see why he's had such a long carreer and continues to be one of the most respected names in hip hop. Jay-Z was the exec. producer on the project. The Stars new album 'in our bedroom after the war' is released on Arts&Crafts. It's a great record, I had the pleasure of recording a bunch of shows for them in Toronto at Lee's Palace for the DVD that comes with the album. Amy Millan and Even Cranley of Stars also appear on the Amos the Transparent Record.

Amos the Transparent record is released. After almost a full year in the making, the record is finally released. Chris Wilson and I were fortunate to work alongside Songwriting Superstar Jon Chandler to get these tunes on record. Just finished tracking beds at Liverpool Court Studios for Ottawa's folk darling Ana Miura. It was a ton of fun and there were many amazing players in playing on the record. There were a couple 22 hour days, but it was worth it.

Mixing, mixing, mixing away the new Travel By Owl record. The band is playing as tight as they ever have and all the feedback we've been getting on the new tunes has been great....I don't know when the release date is so don't ask! Check out the single 'Mazer' on their myspace...I think have a rough mix up there.
